died Unknown. He married (2) S J Unknown. She died Unknown.

"Estate of W W Arnold, Deceased (file dated 8/23/1909);
Now comes J H Arnold, who was appointed by the Court, Administrator of the estate of W W Arnold,
deceased, on the 6th day of Sept 1909, and in reply to the contest filed herein on the 9th day of Sept
1909, by Mrs S J Arnold and for such answer would show to the court:
1. That he is a son of W W Arnold and that he is the only relative of his father that is qualified to be
appointed administrator of the estate of W W Arnold, deceased: (handwritten; living in Grayson Co.,
Texas); that contestant is disqualified from actin because she does not reside in Grayson County Texas,
and has not resided in Grayson Co, Texas since, 20 day of March, 1909, abandoning the property and
moving to Tarrant Co, Texas, where she has since resided;
2. That the said Mrs S J Arnold has declined to administer on this estate and has sought others in no
wise related, (handwritten) to the deceased; to accept the appointment, among them Mr John Darnall;
3. That in accordance with his application that it was his intention to have the homestead set aside to
Mrs S J Arnold if she had not abandoned said right;
4. That there are debts against the estate;
5. That there are three separate pieces of property in which W W Arnold, deceased, had a separate
interest therein and one piece detached from the homestead, if any, that was the separate property of
W W Arnold, deceased;
6. That part of the estate has already be dissipated;
7. That the estate requires some one to look after it, keep it in repair; collect the rents, etc and that there
is no one legally qualified to do so;
8. That there were eight heirs of W W Arnold and that he is entitled to a one-eighth interest in the
separate (unreadable) of W W Arnold, deceased. (handwritten) That there are some minor heirs.
9. That some of the heirs have written him to look after the estate, whch he did so fat as he could, until
his authority was questioned. (handwritten) That it was agreed between Mrs S J Arnold and W W
Arnold, during his liftime that J H Arnold would administer said estate;

10. That he made the applicatin in good faith to protect the estate and he prays that the contest be not
granted both as to his appointment as administrator and the adminstration of said...... (page ends)"
